Termite Protection Plans
Termite Protection Plan – U.S. Pest Control
Protecting Richmond, Mechanicsville, Henrico, Chesterfield & Surrounding Counties
Subterranean termites are one of the most destructive wood-destroying insects found throughout Central Virginia—especially in Richmond, Mechanicsville, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, and nearby counties. These termites nest underground and enter homes silently through soil contact, foundation gaps, plumbing penetrations, or tiny cracks you can't see.
Once inside, they feed on wood framing, floor joists, wall studs, and other structural elements—often causing damage long before homeowners notice. Because termites stay hidden beneath the soil and behind walls, the strongest protection is proactive and professionally maintained.
U.S. Pest Control offers three premium termite protection options designed specifically for Virginia homes:
Liquid Termite Treatment Using Termidor® – Best for active infestations or visible damage (price depends on the linear footage of the home; must be quoted in person)
Trelona® ATBS Termite Bait Station System – Long-term colony elimination and monitoring (starting at $40/mo)
Annual Termite Protection Warranty & Inspection – For homes previously treated with liquid (starting at $250/year)
1. Liquid Termite Treatment Using Termidor®
Best option for homes with active termites or visible damage — pricing must be quoted on site
Termidor® remains the industry’s gold standard due to its non-repellent transfer technology and proven ability to eliminate entire subterranean termite colonies.
Why Subterranean Termites Are Common in Central Virginia
Richmond and surrounding counties have ideal moisture and soil conditions for subterranean termites. These pests live underground and travel through soil and mud tubes to reach your home, entering through:
- Foundation cracks
- Plumbing penetration gaps
- Expansion joints
- Crawl space entry points
- Wood-to-soil contact

How Termidor® Works
Termidor® is applied to the soil around your foundation, creating an undetectable treated zone. Termites pass through it, pick it up, and spread it throughout their colony, leading to full colony elimination through the Transfer Effect.
Liquid Treatment Must Be Measured & Quoted in Person
A Termidor® liquid treatment depends on:
- The linear footage of your home’s foundation
- Crawl space vs. slab areas
- Drilling requirements through concrete (patios, porches, garage slabs)
- Accessibility around the structure
Because of these variables, liquid termite treatments must be inspected and measured in person before providing a price.
Liquid Treatment Process
- Full structural inspection (exterior foundation, crawl space, slab edges)
- Measuring the home’s linear footage
- Trenching soil around the structure
- Rodding or drilling areas where concrete meets foundation
- Applying Termidor® in accordance with label requirements
- Treating active mud tubes or visible activity
- Providing a full labeled inspection and treatment documentation
**This is the preferred solution when
active activity or damage is present.
2. Termite Baiting System – Trelona® ATBS Stations
Long-term protection & monitoring
Pricing starts at $40/month after initial setup
The Trelona® ATBS (Advanced Termite Baiting System) is a powerful, environmentally friendly option for colony elimination and ongoing monitoring.
How Trelona® ATBS Works
Termites naturally forage around your home. When they encounter the bait:
- They consume it
- Share it with nestmates
- Spread it throughout the colony
The active ingredient disrupts growth and reproduction, causing total colony collapse.

Installation Process
1. Inspection & Mapping
We identify ideal placement areas 8–10 feet apart around the home.
2. Station Installation
We place stations into the soil around the perimeter.
3. Bait Placement
Each station receives Trelona® bait cartridges.
4. Digital Mapping
Every station location is documented.
5. Annual Monitoring Visit
- Inspect every station
- Replace bait if needed
- Check structural entry points
- Document moisture or conducive conditions
6. Annual Report provided to the homeowner.
Cancellation Policy
If the bait system is ever canceled, U.S. Pest Control will retrieve all stations, as they remain company-owned equipment.
3. Annual Termite Warranty & Inspection
For homes previously treated with liquid termiticides
Warranty starts at $250/year (≈ $20/mo)
If your home has undergone a full liquid treatment, you may qualify for our annual termite inspection warranty.
